Our Tribute to Dr. Eisenhofer and Dr. Pacak at NIH

This page is a tribute to two doctors from the National Institutes of Health:
Dr. Graeme Eisenhofer and Dr. Karel Pacak

Dr. Graeme Eisenhofer and Dr. Karel Pacak have a Program of studying Pheochromocytoma and Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia. The Program is in the process of being expanded. With Dr. Pacak on board, they specifically plan to target MEN-2.  As Dr. Eisenhofer and Dr. Pacak have new information, they will keep us informed of developments.

The research of biomedical scientists, such as the two featured in this tribute must become a worldwide priority in the twenty-first century. The curing of human disease will come only if scientists are supported and given opportunities to pursue their vital research.

While these two particular doctors devote their time and energy to research, they are also exceptionally supportive and receptive to the concerns of patients.  Health scientists deserve support for continuing their research goals, and this support should come from government, industry, academia, and non-profit organizations.  These doctors help us through their aim toward a better quality of life, and we need to help them in return.  It's a commitment to our own future, and we all benefit by working together.  Everyday is a new chance, a new step forward toward hope and achievement.

Dr. Eisenhofer and Dr. Pacak, we want you to know how honored we are that you have taken an interest in our support efforts, and we consider ourselves fortunate that each of you have chosen to become research scientists in this particular field of study.

Thank you! You have our sincerest admiration.

Kindest regards, the Pheochromocytoma Support Group
