Welcome to my Website Pages
The following is is a brief history of my experiences with this illness:
I had my right adrenal removed in May of '95. Due to a large 9-11cm benign tumor. The Doctor's classified it as a ganglineuroma. Never found a PHEO. My guess is it's still hiding, but haven't ever been able to prove it.
I would be happy to listen and respond anyway I can. In fact, I have never been able to network with anyone or have found anyone else with the same benign tumor I had. I can relate to you what my fears were and how I personally dealt and deal with them to date. My first and best suggestion, is find yourself a very knowledgeable therapist; one who is equipped and who has had experience with illness; perhaps network through your local hospital or wellness community.
Thanks for forwarding me the copy of the PHEO chat. (From PHEO Chat Group). I had originally posted on that board, but no one to date has found a PHEO in me. It's still a hunch that I have one, though.
Stated earlier, I had my right adrenal removed in May of '95. I had always complained of lower back pain on my right side; Doctors, husband, parents attributed it to other causes. Severe nausea and vomiting yellow bile brought me to my 1st doctor when we lived in Miami. Bottom line, 4 doctors later and a lot of BS telling me that this was all in my mind, made me persist even more. After an ultra sound (which showed a tumor on the right adrenal/kidney) then Cat Scan, then MRI finally showed a large mass; 11 cm.
Bottom line, benign adrenal tumor removed through surgery, did not loose a kidney or anything else. Still have occasional symptoms: nausea, sweating, anxiety. Would like to network with anyone else out there who has had their adrenal gland removed.
Take Care, and I'd love to hear from you.
